Joy Hour Review

Creating and presenting my Joy Hour project was a fantastic experience. It was one of the few times that I felt I could easily talk about a topic, without worrying about worrying about memorizing facts, or complex pieces of information. That's not to say my presentation was dull, or simplistic, but that I didn't have to memorize the information. It was much easier, and felt more natural to talk about my topic, travel.
The whole experience of Joy Hour was fun, but I enjoyed creating my presentation and speech the most. It was invigorating to take a unique approach to the presentation. It would have been extremely dull if had just explained why Greece is nice, and why I wanted to go there. Most people wouldn't have any interest in hearing about it. Instead, trying to convince people to travel was a fun challenge to tackle. Again, this was my favorite part of the semester. And not just because of my topic. The rubric allowed for lots of variety in the approach you can take, and allowed room for people to try a variety of styles with their presentations.
In short, this was an amazing experience, and an amazing way to end the year.
