Joy Hour #5

Today in Joy Hour I came up with a plan. I've been torn between two countries: Greece and Portugal. I haven't been able to decide between the two, even with ample research into both. So here's my plan:

Step One: Make a basic outline for each country. Pick the places I want to go, and list the things I want to do there. From there, state some preliminary costs, and make sure they fit my budget. This will help me find a general idea of what I want from each country, and the costs that will come along with them.

Step Two: Create a Pros and Cons List. Though this may seem pretty basic, it will help me compare and contrast the two countries. They are different in a lot of areas, which is partially what makes the decision so hard. This step will come in handy for

Step Three: Get my Family's Opinion. This is mostly for my benefit, to see if they bring up any interesting points, or find things I haven't thought of.

After Step Three, I plan to make a decision. I want to have all of this done by next Monday, so I can expand and fine-tune my outline for whatever country I may decide upon. The only other thing I did in class was sketch out the first part of the trip for both countries. From what I understand, both countries are relativity cheap to travel to, at the moment. So I'm looking at about a two-and-a-half week trip right now.
I've learned quite a bit about the histrionic and culture of each country so far, and I'm slowly learning how to be more decisive, something I hadn't expected to learn. It's certainly not unwelcome, however. I haven't dipped too deep in the budget stuff yet, but by next week I should be learning more about that.
