Joy Hour

Recently in AP Language we have started a new project. Molded after a program created by Google, we will be spending every Monday working on a project of our choosing. We will have all hour in class to work on it. At the end of the semester, we will be presenting what we have accomplished.

We were asked to write down a list of everything we have even a remote interest in, in order to find a suitable project for us individually. They could be anything from bucket list ideas to random interests we have. I spent quite a bit of time working on my ideas, with good results. I found three main topics that I was interested in: planning a trip, learning more about photography, and learning more about music theory.

My main interest is planning a trip. When I was young, my parents promised me I could go anywhere in the world the summer after my senior year. That time is drawing closer and closer by the day, and not only would I like to choose a location, I would like to plan our stay there. This would require me to do extensive research into accommodation, activities, transportation, etc., on each leg of our journey. Additionally, if I enjoy planning a trip for my family and I, I might look into doing the same thing, only for myself as an individual. There are many things to consider; this project would require extensive research. However, it is very intresting to me personally, which is why I want to pusue it.
